Horses have always been my calling...

a little bit about me

My name is Maddi. I’m 25 years old and I never grew out of my horse girl phase.

I got my start in the equestrian world riding hunters. Through the years I've gotten to train and compete in jumpers, eventing, and barrel racing. My latest riding venture has been into dressage. Bringing my camera with me to photograph the other girls in my barn at shows was how I got started in equine photography.

Now I'm the girl laying down in the dirt or climbing up a tree to get you The Perfect Picture.

Hala Kahiki

This is my mare, Kiki! She's my main source of inspiration and a frequent feature on my instagram. Whenever I buy a new piece of equipment or learn a new technique, I most often set her loose in a turnout and practice on her. She's a thoroughbred, and she's inspired me to work promoting the Thoroughbred Incentive Program through my position on the Inland Empire Hunter Jumper Association Board.

Fun Fact: Her show name, Hala Kahiki, means 'pineapple' in Native Hawaiian.
